Predominantly seen in older and larger cats, loss of bladder control can be a serious problem. It is generally due to some type of blockage or defect of the bladder, but may also indicate some type of neurological disorder. Your cat may also experience frequent urinary tract infections. Your cat should be seen as soon as the problem occurs for the best possible outcome.

In most cases, prescribed medication, diet and weight management can control the situation. In serious case, surgery may be required to remove the  obstruction in the bladder, or the bladder itself.
